Multi-day bookings let visitors book a resource for a full day, a weekend, or several days in a row. You charge a price per day instead of per hour, and visitors see the total before they book.
You might offer multi-day bookings for:
Team retreats: A company books your event space from Friday to Sunday.
Project teams: A team rents a meeting room as a project base for three weeks.
Workshops and trainings: A trainer books a seminar room for a five-day course.
Pop-up offices: A visiting team needs a private office for a month while they're in town.
Set Up a Resource for Multi-Day Bookings
Step 1: Make the Resource Public
Go to Products » Resources.
Create a new resource, or open the one you want to offer for multi-day bookings.
Turn on the option to publish the resource for external bookings.
Click Save.
⚠️ Important: If your resource is not enabled for external bookings, the day-based booking option is not available for it. Get started with External Bookings.
Step 2: Add a Day-Based Price
On the resource's edit page, go to Pricing » Customize for Visitors.
Fill out your hourly pricing settings.
Scroll down to Day-Based Pricing.
Enter your price per day in Price for Day, for example $180.
Click Save.
Example: Your meeting room costs $45 per hour or $180 per day. A project team that books it for 10 days pays $1,800.
Step 3: Set Booking Limits and Cancellation Periods
After setting the price, decide how long, how early, and how late visitors can book:
Booking Duration Limit: The minimum and maximum length of a booking, for example at least 1 day and at most 21 days. Leave it blank for no limit.
Booking Cutoff: How far in advance visitors must book. With a cutoff of 48 hours, visitors can't book a room that starts tomorrow.
Cancellation Period: How long before the booking starts visitors can still cancel it.
You enter these values in hours. Visitors see them converted to days or weeks.
Step 4: Define a Booking Day
You decide what a booking day means in your space. It can be 24 hours, 12 hours, or your 8-hour reception shift.
On the resource's edit page, go to Availability » Available Booking Times » Customize for Visitors.
Add the days and times visitors can book the resource, for example Monday to Sunday, 8:30 am to 9 pm.
Click Save.
For every day a visitor books, the resource is booked for them during these hours, not the night in between.
Step 5: Configure Day-Based Booking Extras
Booking extras are products and services visitors add to a booking, like a projector, catering, coffee, or parking.
To offer them with multi-day bookings, each extra needs its own day price:
Go to Products » Products & Services.
Open the extra you want to offer.
Add a price per day.
Click Save.
Example: A monitor costs $5 per hourly booking or $40 per day. A trainer who books your seminar room for 5 days and adds the monitor pays $200 for it.
⚠️ Important: Visitors can't add extras without a day price to multi-day bookings. Add a day price to every extra you want to offer.
How Visitors Make a Multi-Day Booking
Once your resource and extras have day prices, visitors book them on your Homepage:
They select the resource and choose Daily.
They pick the days or weeks in the calendar.
They add booking extras. Cobot calculates the price of per-day extras for the full booking.
They enter their contact details, choose a payment method, and confirm the booking.
Visitors get a booking confirmation with the start and end date of their booking.
What Happens After a Visitor Books
Cobot blocks the booked days in your booking calendar and creates a single invoice for the entire stay.
In your calendar and timeline, multi-day bookings appear separately from hourly bookings. Off-hours, the times within a multi-day booking when visitors can't access the space (such as nights or weekends), are clearly marked.
