This guide is to help you get the required credentials to connect Cobot to PayPal.

Cobot effortlessly integrates with PayPal, streamlining member payments by allowing members to link their PayPal accounts to their Cobot profiles, ensuring secure processing of membership fees.

You can set up PayPal under Setup » Payment Methods and can choose either semi-automated or automated payments. This guide is to help you get your API credentials which is essential during the set up process.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • You need to have PayPal Business or Website Payments Pro in order to connect Cobot to PayPal.

To get started:

  1. You need to verify your PayPal account before you can start accessing PayPal’s API credentials.

  2. You need a PayPal Username, Password, and Signature to access PayPal’s classic APIs.

Once you can confirm the above, follow these steps to get your API credentials:

1. Log in to Your PayPal Account

Once logged in, click on the 'Account Settings' link.

2. Update your API access

At your Account Settings page, click on 'Update API Access' under the Account access menu.

3. Select your custom checkout experience.

Once you've updated your API access, select NVP/SOAP API integration (Classic).

4. Copy Your API Credentials

Once you're able to see the API Signature, click 'Show' to copy the various credential details for your API Signature.

Once you've copied over the keys above, go back to your Cobot admin portal » Setup » Automated Payment Methods » select 'PayPal' and paste in the details.
