Luckey is a flexible, easy-to-use, and advanced cloud-based access system that allows you to manage your buildings remotely in real time. Give access to your users by Smartphone, Cards, or Mechatronic Key.

You can now connect Cobot to your Sofia Locks Solution (Luckey) so that new members added to Cobot are automatically sent to your Luckey Dashboard.

This guide will walk you through how to set up the integration:

STEP 1: Set Up Your Luckey Account

Before connecting your accounts, you need to have the following set up in your Luckey account:

  • At least one Location (this is the name you give your property in Luckey)

  • Physical Locks installed on your doors (set up by the Luckey team)

If you are unsure how to do any of the above, please contact Luckey support from your Luckey dashboard.

STEP 2: Create a New Oauth2 Client Application in Cobot

In order for Luckey to communicate with Cobot and vis versa, you must create a new Oauth2 Client Application. OAuth is "an open protocol to allow secure API authorization in a simple and standard method from desktop and web applications*."

For OAuth2 you need a client id and secret. In order to get those you have to register your application.

* For more information about OAuth2 see the oauth website.

STEP 3: Connect Luckey to Cobot

You can now connect your two accounts:

  1. Log in to the Admin side of your Luckey account

  2. In the Luckey settings, click on the Cobot logo and add the following information:

  • Your Cobot subdomain (This is the section of your cobot URL before .cobot.me.)

  • Client ID

  • Client Secret

  • Client Token

Click "Connect Your Account" and the integration will be active for your Luckey Location.

STEP 4: Log Into Luckey With Cobot Credentials

Once the integration is active, you and your users will be able to log in to the Luckey Mobile and Web Application using your Cobot credentials.

Instead of logging in, click on the Cobot button instead. This will lead you to the Cobot login page; log in with your Cobot credentials and you will be automatically logged in to Luckey according to your profile.

Cobot administrators will be logged into both the Luckey Web Portal and Luckey Mobile application, while Cobot members will only be logged into the Luckey mobile application.

STEP 5: Member Interaction

Once your integration is up and running, new members will only be added to Luckey once their membership is confirmed in Cobot. This is to ensure people whose memberships have not yet been activated will not be able to access your space before that time.

There are two ways in which your members will be confirmed in Cobot:

1. If your membership plans in Cobot do NOT have this box checked (under Setup » Plan Templates » Basic Settings of the plan), then the member will be auto confirmed at sign up and immediately added to Luckey.

2. If your membership plans in Cobot DO have this box checked (under Setup » Plan Templates » Basic Settings of the plan), then the member needs to be confirmed manually after the registration process.

You can do this by going to Manage » Members » click on 'Confirm/Reject' » Confirm. The member will be then be auto added to Luckey.

Do My Members Get an Email Informing Them How to Enter My Space?

No, your members will not receive an automated email from Luckey (or Cobot) telling them about how to access your space.

💡 Pro Tip: Add a line in your Cobot generated Confirmation Email (under Customize » Emails) about how door access works in your space. This way your members will know what to expect. You can also add this to the "Welcome Message" in your plan templates and the "Guides" section of your Help Desk. The more places you add it, the better!

How Can I See if a Member Was Added to Luckey From Cobot?

You can see if a member has been synchronized from Cobot to your Luckey Web platform in the “Users” section. For every user synchronized from Cobot, you will find a two-arrow symbol next to their name. This signals that the user is coming from an external source.

Manually Connecting Members With Mobile Access

Once a user is synchronized, you can assign them to a Smart User Tag to let them inherit the mobile credentials of a specific group.

Manually Connecting Members With Cards Access Rules

Once a user is synchronized, you can assign them to a Card Access rule exactly like a regular Luckey User.

Removing Member Access

If you cancel a member in Cobot, they will automatically loose access to the locks in your space. You can also remove their access rights within Luckey.

Disabling the Integration

To disable the integration, go to the Luckey settings under the cobot section and click 'Disable'. After you confirm the deactivation:

  • You will no longer be able to log in to Luckey using your Cobot credentials.

  • Users synchronization will stop.

    • The users already synchronized will remain in the system.
