Planning ahead for holidays or closures? Easily block your calendar for public holidays, renovations, or closed days – and flexibly decide what resources should be blocked and who should still be able to make bookings during these times.
Keep everyone informed and make sure nobody is left standing in front of a closed door by displaying your open hours!
Setting up Open Hours
Open hours provide useful information to your members and visitors about when your space is open.
You can add your open hours under Setup » Open Hours.
Your members see your open hours in their member portal under Space Information
Please note: Your open hours do not automatically determine at what times your members or visitors can book a resource. Booking availability is configured individually for each resource under Available Booking Times.
Do you want to block your calendar for a longer period? Then calendar blockers are the perfect solution for you. Learn how to set them up in the next section!
Setting up Calendar Blockers
Calendar blockers are useful if you wish to block your calendar for extended periods – such as during construction work or upcoming holidays. This way, you can prevent people from making bookings during closed times.
In order to set up a calendar blocker, just go to Calendar » Calendar Blockers » Add Blocker.
All you need to do is to fill out the following information for your blocker:
Blocker name
Start date
End date
Who this blocker should prevent from booking
Which resources should be blocked
💡 For each calendar blocker, you can flexibly decide whether it should apply to member bookings, external bookings, and/or Drop-in Passes.
Blocking your Calendar for Members
When you choose to add a calendar blocker for Bookings, your members cannot make bookings during the time the calendar blocker is active.
External visitors can still book resources unless you also block external bookings.
Blocking your Calendar for External Bookings
When a calendar blocker is applied for External Bookings, external visitors cannot book resources during the whole time your calendar blocker is active.
Members can still make bookings unless you also block member bookings.
You can choose to either block all resources or only selected resources:
💡 Admins can still always make bookings, even if a calendar blocker is set.
Blocking your Calendar for Drop-ins
When a calendar blocker is set for Drop-in Passes, no Drop-in Passes can be purchased during that period.
Please Note: There is no option to only block Drop-in Pass bookings for specific Drop-in Passes (e.g. to only apply a blocker for Day Passes).
Editing and Deleting Calendar Blockers
Construction works are taking longer than expected? You miss your community and spontaneously decide to not close the space during your holidays? No problem! You can always edit or delete existing calendar blockers.
Just go to Calendar Calendar Blockers Click on the Blocker Edit/Delete to edit or delete a blocker. Easy!
Displaying Calendar Blockers to your Members
Once you have set up calendar blockers, members can find these in their member portal under Upcoming Closed Times.
Your members also see the calendar blockers in the booking calendar.
