Sometimes your members bring a friend, collaborator, or client to your space — and you’ll want to check those guests in, too! This helps you keep track of who’s in your space and, if needed, charge members for extra day passes.
Check In Guests from the Members Checked In Dashboard
The easiest way to check in a guest is right from your Members Checked In dashboard.
Head to Manage » Members » Members Checked In.
Find the member who brought the guest.
Click 'Check in' next to their name.
Add the name of the guest in the 'Guest name' field.
Click 'Check in'.
Voilà! You’ve just logged an extra check-in for that day — perfect for recording a guest visit or adding an extra charge.
The guests name is posted clearly under the host member.
How Check-Ins Work with Time Passes
When a member checks in, Cobot automatically deducts a time pass from their existing balance.
If the member has available passes, one will be used automatically when they check in.
If they don’t have any passes left, the system will not allow a check-in for their guest — the guest will need a valid pass to enter.
This ensures check-ins always align with the member’s current plan and available passes.
You can see this both on the Members checked in dashboard and when you click into the members profile:
IMPORTANT NOTE
The Members Checked In feature only works for members with Time Passes on their plan. If you’d like all your members — even those without passes — to be able to check in this way, just drop our support team a message, and we’ll turn it on for you.
