Discount codes let you offer temporary discounts on membership plans – perfect for promotions, special events, or onboarding campaigns.
Creating a Discount Code
Creating a discount code is easy! Just:
Go to Products » Discount codes
Click Add Discount Code
💡 Only admins with permission to view or edit Discounts under Setup » Administrators can see the Discount Codes under Products.
Next, fill in the discount details and save — that’s it! Your code is ready to use.
Basic settings
Internal name: For your own reference only (for example: Discount for EOY Event attendees).
Code: The code members enter during sign-up (for example:
winter2025).
Discount: Choose how the discount is applied:
Percentage (for example: 50% off), or
Fixed amount (for example: €100 off)
Duration: How long the discount applies after the membership starts (for example: the first 3 months).
Category: Discount codes can currently be used for membership plans only.
Plans: Select specific plans for which the discount code can be used, or simply apply the discount to all membership plans
Usage Restrictions
Expiration date: After this date, the discount code can no longer be redeemed.
Usage limit: How many members can use this code in total.
Discount Codes Overview
Once saved, your discount code will appear in the Discount Code Overview, where you can view:
All discount codes at a glance
Their amounts
Redemption counts
Expiry dates
Applicable products
Editing and Removing Discount Codes
In your Discount Code Overview, you can easily edit or delete Discount Codes.
💡 Editing an existing discount code – such as renaming winter25 to winter2025 – does not create a new code. All previous redemptions remain associated with the same discount code.
How Members Redeem a Discount Code
During sign-up, members can enter a discount code in the Discount Code field on their membership plan sign-up form.
If the code is valid, they’ll immediately see the discount applied as well as the duration during which it will be applied:
Discount Codes on Invoices
When a discount code is applied, it shows up on the invoice line item.
Important Notes
Only one discount code can be used at a time.
Discount codes can’t be combined with membership plan discounts.
If a discount code is applied, any plan discount will be ignored.
