Connecting Cobot to Physical Scheduling Displays by Tapirx

Learn how to connect Cobot with Tapirx to allow admins to easily book resources on a physical screen and see availability at a glance.

Tapirx is an E-Ink scheduling display for desks and meeting rooms that lets your admins easily book resources and view your resources' availability directly on a physical screen.

Read this guide to learn how to set up the integration in just a few steps.


1. Set Up Your Tapirx Interface

1.1. Add Your Cobot Space URL

💡 Once you have ordered your device from Tapirx, your login credentials will be generated and sent to you.

  1. Log in to Tapirx interface with your credentials here.

  2. Click on Client admin.

  3. Navigate to Settings » Client settings.

4. Insert your Cobot space URL.

5. Click on Save.

Important Note: Adding your Cobot space URL is a necessary step in order to be able to sync your resources at a later step.


1.2. Allow Access

Once you have set up your Cobot Space URL,

  1. Click on Client admin.

  2. Select Allow access to calendars.

  3. Click Allow Access.

  4. Sign in with your Cobot credentials.

  5. Confirm access for Tapirx.


1.3. Import Your Cobot Ressources

  1. Go back to Client admin.

  2. Navigate to Cobot Import.

  3. Select the resources for your import.

  4. Click on Import selected.


1.4. Connect Your Resources to Your Device

  1. Go back to Client admin.

  2. Click on Device list.

  3. Click on Menu and choose Settings.

  4. Select resource from the list.

  5. Click on Save.


2. Set Up Your Tapirx Device

Once you have successfully connected Cobot with Tapirx, you can set up your Tapirx device as written in the setup manual provided by Tapirx. If you need help, you can reach out to Tapirx Support.

💡 Please allow 5–30 minutes while the device starts synchronizing.


3. Display Your Resources and Make Bookings on Screen

Once you have set up your Tapirx device, the display will start listing your resource's availability as well as all upcoming bookings.

Admins can now book a room by clicking Book on the physical screen. Easy! Just place the device in front of your meeting rooms and you are good to go!

All bookings made via the device will automatically be showing in your Cobot calendar. There will also be an activity posted on the Dashboard.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • All bookings made via the device will automatically be made on behalf of the admin who set up the integration.
